Application Guidelines

Philadelphia Summer Semester 2013 Application Deadline: 4/10/2013 at 11:59PM EDT.

San Francisco Summer Semester 2013 Application Deadline: 4/17/2013 at 12:00 PM (noon) PDT.

The fall 2013 application cycle will have a late-September deadline.

You are encouraged to begin preparing your application ahead of time in order to be prepared to submit all materials. For some tips on how to know if you are ready to apply for VIP see How to Know if You are Ready to Apply.

Students should select their campus above based on where they are taking classes this semester.

VIP Application Components:

  1. 2-page executive summary application document (pdf). For template click HERE.
  2. 1-page student founder resume (pdf)
  3. 1-page co-founder resume, if applicable (pdf). No more than two members per venture may apply for VIP membership
  4. A link to a 2-3 minute video of you describing your venture. This can be very casual. We do not expect professional-quality videos. The video can be an "elevator pitch" or simply a description in your own words of your venture concept.

All document uploads (#1, #2, & #3 above) should be in pdf.

After careful review of all applications, the strongest candidates will be invited to present their ventures to an application committee.  Details on the later stages of the application process, and all dates and times, will be visible once you select your campus.
